I worked at University of Missouri part-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
The recreation center is stellar, and the city is relatively small and pleasant. There doesn’t seem to be much racial prejudice on campus.
Cons
There is nobody in charge: tenured faculty do whatever they want, disregarding University policy whenever they want, and the University does nothing. Students are treated like they are
children. Academic records have been “lost” at critical times (e.g. just before graduation). Bizarre thing happened, like a tenured journalism faculty blocked reporters from doing their job, and certain students with possibly untrue …

Students and non-tenured faculty/staff need to be treated with respect, and need to be “heard”.
