LG DRYER REVIEW: A LESS THAN STELLAR EXPERIENCE

LG DRYER REVIEW: A LESS THAN STELLAR EXPERIENCE

I recently purchased an LG dryer, and to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Here’s my experience with the product:

Initial Impressions: The dryer looked sleek and promised high performance. Given LG’s reputation, I had high hopes.

Performance: For the first few months, it worked as expected. However, less than a year into its use, I was met with a concerning vibration and shaking sound emanating from the back of the unit. This wasn’t a minor issue; the noise was so alarming that I genuinely feared the dryer might malfunction severely.

Troubleshooting: I ensured the basics – the duct was clean, nothing was stuck, and the unit was as level as it had always been. Everything seemed in order, which made the malfunction even more puzzling.

Comparing Past and Present: My previous washer and dryer set lasted over 25 years without a hitch. In contrast, this LG dryer started showing issues in less than a year. It’s hard not to feel let down, especially when making a comparison to older, more durable models.

Customer Service Experience: I reached out to LG via Facebook, and they were prompt in arranging a technician. While their response was swift, there was a caveat. If the technician deemed the issue wasn’t due to a manufacturing defect, I’d be on the hook for the repair costs, despite the product still being under warranty.

Final Thoughts: While I appreciate LG’s quick response, I’m left questioning the durability and reliability of their products. I genuinely hope they honor their warranty and address the issue without passing on the cost. As a consumer, I expected more from a brand like LG, especially when investing in a premium appliance.
