During the cold times of year ice melt is usually flying of the shelves, and it is typically toxic if any is eaten, for example if your dog eats ice melt from the store it can EASILY kill them or make them very sick, it is best to make your own mixture so you know EXACTLY what is in the mixture. This is also quite a bit cheaper, you get alot more, and it works just as good!  Its a WIN – WIN – WIN situation!

Basically, all you do is mix the mixture with about 1/3 rubbing alcohol and 2/3 water, you can add more alcohol the colder temps it is outside. But mix warm water and the alcohol in your container. Then add a squirt or a few drops of dish soap in the mix and then shake it up for about 15 seconds!

Now you can spray this mixture or pour it onto your car window, sidewalk, deck or wherever there is ice, and it should then quickly start to melt away!
